Step 1: Separate the different sizes of balloons

The DIY garlands come with 3 sizes of balloons; 5´´, 11´´ and 18´´. Separate the different sizes of balloons by color. Set the 5´´ aside for now.

Step 2: Inflate the balloons

We recommend a hand or electric pump to inflate the balloons. It can be difficult to inflate a large number of balloons with your mouth. Tie the balloons in groups of two. The 11´´ and 18´´ can be attached together.

Pro tip : to give a nice round appearance to the balloons, inflate the balloons larger than necessary and before tying them, press down on the balloons so as to let out a little air and give them a round shape. You can press the balloons against you or against a table.

Step 3: Tie the balloons

Take two pairs of balloons then twist them together to create groups of four. We recommend creating groups of four of the same color. Once the quartet has been created, take a white rubber band and tie it in the center of your quartet. Pull the rubber band well and turn your rubber band around your second quartet. This is how the balloons will hold together.

Step 5: Finishing

Inflate your balloons 5´´ and tie them in groups of 3. Take a white rubber band and tie a trio of balloons to each end of the rubber band. Come and position the balloons in the desired location and turn the elastic around the large balloons.

Step 6: Hang your garland

Make sure the wall is clean. Glue the red side of the tights to the hook and the black side to the wall. Hold the hook against the wall for 30 seconds to make sure it is firmly stuck to the wall, pull the rubber bands and twist them around your garland.

The party can now begin!
